I think when it comes to conspiracy theories and crackpot assertions, psychology plays a huge role.  People suddenly take a personal interest in the subject for whatever reason and because of this it&#039;s damn near impossible to let go.  Suddenly when someone challenges your thoughts you are forced to reach for every piece of bullshit you can conjure up till you&#039;re left saying, &quot;Whatever, let the government control your thoughts...&quot;  Or some other cooky phrase.
