It's hard to think when you're not used to it.
Got this by way of the Gun Toting Liberal.
(Washington, D.C.) Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) has drafted and will file a Congressional resolution censuring President George W. Bush for his egregious and politically motivated commutation of Scooter Libby’s prison sentence. The censure resolution, which is attached below, will be formally introduced in the House of Representatives on Tuesday July 10, 2007 when Congress reconvenes from the 4th of July recess.
Congressman Wexler, a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee, said today that “this presidential intervention is an unconscionable abuse of authority by George W. Bush, and Congress must step forward and express the disgust that Americans rightfully feel toward this contemptible decision. …â€
GTL goes on to say that Republicans will probably use a recent Fox News report to attempt to discredit Wexler, even though the report was heavily edited to make it look as bad a possible. To give you a sense of their source material, Fox started with a segment from the Colbert Report, and their editors took it from there.
I think the whole thing’s hilarious, but to be fair and balanced, I should continue to be afraid of Fox News. That’s condition Orange, I believe.
I'm contentedly confident in my abilities and frequent correctness - and this is where you get to bask in my light. Though I'm superior, I'm not complacent. No siree, I spend much of my time trying to understand people, and why some of us are such freaks.
