Sarah and Elin - are you serious? Many of her predictions didn't turn out to be true, that's the whole point. In 2006 and 2007 - the two years I looked at this, she had consistent false alarm rates over 90%. In other words - she predicted something and then more then 9 out of 10 times, it never happened. Interestingly, the scoring system I used for her 2007 predictions was more strict than in 2006, and it prevented me from including a lot of the vague "non-predictions" that I counted in 2006 - and even then she's crying wolf over 90% of the time.

It isn't about belief. It isn't about magical super powers. It isn't about me being mean.

She simply cannot predict the future.

Sarah, I was just noticing the same thing. Her timing might be off and she has some obvious misses, but as the years pass, more of her specific 2006 predictions here proved accurate. I have no preconceptions about Sylvia Browne, I barely know who she is, but she did a not-bad job if you give her some slack on timing.

Everyone holds different beliefs, and I strongly believe we as individuals can not tell someone their wrong for believing in what another person claims, that would be no different than a christian telling a buddhist they are stupid for choosing to religiously worship differently than them- different beliefs, none necessarily wrong.

I personally don't know if what Sylvia says is wrong, but wether or not it is, she is a paid celebrity- available to the public for entertainment purposes. And those who think she is a waste of time- im sure her paycheck begs to differ.

Uhm...many of her predictions turned out to be true though...am I not correct??
I guess it just took time then, huh?
She herself has said that no one is accurate 100% of the time...

This is really amazing how she has gotten so far by taking advantage of people's emotions. Was the 9-11 video on Montel (the lady who lost her husband) a plant?

I am going to say this. I have dealt with real psychics as I have said above. One charged me $50 for as long as she needed to say what she had to say. She knew a lot about me and my mom without us saying anything. My friend who is psychic charged me nothing and prevented me from not only losing my house, but my health and possibly my life. She had been right with other people that ignored her advice and they told her after the fact that they wish they would have listened to her.

As for the Other Side as Sylvia talks about, there is now scientific research in a sense with a psychiatrist in Miami, Fl. His name is Brian Weiss M.D. and he had written a few books. His research is similar to what she says, the only thing is, he doesn't go into great detail on what the Other Side is because everytime his patients went into the inbetween state under hypnosis, there was no description, only advise from the Masters.

For me, I saw the Other Side by accident. I thought it was something shared and something sacred that was not to be let out until I read Sylvia's books two years later. After reading the Otherside and Back, I felt empty inside and I wanted to write her and let her have it about letting this be known. I was like, why would anyone want to leave there to come here if it was so great there. There is Greek and Roman architecture and the people do look exotic. The sky does have a permanent sunset hue. I saw that before I even knew who this woman was because I entered there as my sister died for some odd reason. All I felt was a nice temperature and peace.

Miss Cleo went to Jail for being a fraud and Sylvia hasn't yet and she's been doing this for over 50 years.. You can't just be a pychic in america without people watching you and she's being watched of course. The results are she does more good than harm and a few wrong predictaions out of thousands correct doesn't weigh out. She helps people and thats why she's in business. The moment she she molest little children or take money from old dying folks, or convincing people to drink poisoned juice wearing nikes then I say we condemn her where she stands. Until then let her raise the spirits of those around her with her teachings about the love for God and go after the real frauds...politicians.
